I came in one day a few weeks back during my lunch break. It wasn't busy and the staff was really nice. I had the 3 piece chicken meal with mac and cheese and lima beans. Everything was great! That chicken was fresh and hot. Mac and cheese definitely tasted homemade! I asked for cornbread and got a roll. But no big deal. I'll definitely be back.
If you're ever in the mood for some good soul food, you've got to check this place out. They have a nice array of southern cuisine made with love. Fried chicken, baked chicken, Mac and cheese, collard greens, etc. You're sure to be reminded of momma's cooking, and Gramma's cooking.
January 2021 SOUL FOOD !!! My mom and I stopped by here on the first Sunday Of 2021, we were pleasantly surprised by the taste of this food. It is authentic soul food that you only can get in the South. There is no indoor seating available. It's take out only at this point. My mother got the meat loaf with collar greens and black eye peas ($9.50). I ordered the oxtail dinner with cabbage and sweet yams($20). Both meals came with a drink and complementary cornbread. My mom absolutely raved about her dinner, my oxtails were a different flavour than I've ever had before but definitely delicious and generous with the serving. They were on a bed of rice as well. Service: 5/5 Prices: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Value: 5/5 Bottom line: For really delicious and authentic cafeteria style Sunday dinner, make sure that you come by this restaurant. They deserve your patronage.
This food was G double O D .....GOOD! Seasoned to perfection! Stopped by a couple times and this spot was not opened, maybe it was a Monday or something but went in this past Tuesday and was in for a surprised. I got a baked chicken plate with cabbage and mashed potatoes and gravy.... everything was good! The chicken was so flavorful? My goodness! Fresh rolls..... I can't wait to get back over there. The restaurant was clean on the inside mainly because you can't dine in yet. The service was great, the cashier should have had on gloves, but she did wash her hands .... she took them off and never put them back on ( do better ) but other than that, I have no complaints. We will be back soon.
Service can be a little slow and not always the most welcoming, but the food is really good. They are pretty consistent also. I've tried nearly everything on the menu without disappointment.
